Nihat AKSÜT retired from the Turkish Armed Forces with the rank of Staff Colonel. He served as a unit commander in the TAF and held senior positions in the headquarters of the Army Command and the General Staff.
Between 2009 and 2012, he took part in international summits and supported several working groups within the scope of political and military security at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Turkey (Austria/Vienna) to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe), where he served as a Senior Military Advisor.
He completed his graduate studies in Management and Organization and European Union Law.
Nihat AKSÜT has been working at ASPİLSAN Enerji A.Ş. since 2018 where he respectively took the roles of Logistics Management and Procurement Manager; Strategic Planning and Coordination Director; Production Planning, Procurement, and Sales Director and Investment Director (Director of Europe's first Li-ion Rechargeable Cylindrical Battery Cell Production Project).
He has been serving as Deputy General Manager since June 2022.

Nihat AKSÜT, Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri’nden Kurmay Albay rütbesinde emekli olmuştur. TSK’da birlik komutanlığı görevlerinde yer almış; Ordu Komutanlığı ve Genelkurmay Başkanlığı karargahlarında üst düzey görevlerde bulunmuştur.
2009-2012 yılları arasında Kıdemli Askeri Danışman olarak görev yaptığı Avrupa Güvenlik ve İşbirliği Teşkilatı T.C. Daimi Temsilciliği’nde (Avusturya/Viyana) uluslararası zirvelerde yer almış ve pek çok çalışma grubuna siyasi ve askeri güvenlik kapsamında destek vermiştir.
Yönetim ve Organizasyon ve Avrupa Birliği Hukuku dallarında yüksek lisans eğitimlerini tamamlamıştır.
2018 yılından beri görev yaptığı ASPİLSAN Enerji A.Ş.’nde, sırasıyla Lojistik Yönetim ve Tedarik Müdürlüğü; Stratejik Planlama ve Koordinasyon Direktörlüğü; Üretim Planlama, Tedarik ve Satış Direktörlüğü ve Yatırım Direktörlüğü (Avrupa’nın ilk Li-iyon Şarj Edilebilir Silindirik Pil Üretimi Projesinin Direktörü) görevlerini yürütmüştür.
Haziran 2022’den bu yana Genel Müdür Yardımcılığı görevini sürdürmektedir.
